Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has, on 31st January, joined Russian side Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

Lightening fast and blessed with great skill, Quincy made his first-team breakthrough at Arsenal last season.

The Dutch forward made an instant impact as a substitute in the Carling Cup win at Manchester City and scored a fine solo effort in the following round against Everton.

Quincy also featured in the Champions League and FA Cup before lining up alongside Thierry Henry to make his first Premiership start against Portsmouth in March.

My Year

December
A memorable month for Quincy, who started his first-ever Champions League game against Ajax at Highbury. The Dutch Under-21 international performed well in a goalless draw. Quincy made late substitute appearances against Newcastle and Chelsea before scoring Arsenal's first in the Carling Cup tie at Doncaster. He sustained an injury at Belle Vue and was sidelined for the remainder of the month.

November
Quincy's only appearance of the month came in Arsenal's last fixture in November - the Carling Cup win over Reading. The Dutch Under-21 international was arguably Arsenal's finest performer on the night, mesmerising the Royals' defence time and again with his skill and quick feet. Indeed, the former Ajax man provided an assist for Jose Antonio Reyes to break the deadlock after just 12 minutes.

October
A positive month in Quincy's young career as the Dutch Under-21 international made a second-half substitute appearance at West Brom before starting the 3-0 win over Sunderland in the Carling Cup. The former Ajax man had a good game on Wearside, displaying neat footwork in the build-up to Manu Eboue's opener.
